[simulator] I.

ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT

For individual orchestral performers, the residency supports:

– Development of established practices or new interpretative formats

– Historical and methodological articulation of artistic work

– Examination of embodied technique, attention, memory, and decision-making

– Specific feedback on sonic, formal, conceptual, and performative dimensions

– Experimentation with technologies, environments, roles, and modes of presentation

– Preparation for public performance or research presentation

– For sectional and collective practice, the residency supports:

– Analysis of orchestral methods and institutional histories

– Investigation of distributed agency, memory, hierarchy, and coordination

– Development of rehearsal and simulation procedures

– Critical examination of authority, responsibility, dependence, and interaction

– Refinement of sonic, spatial, technological, and temporal relations

– Preparation for public performance and documented presentation

For all participants, artistic development proceeds through sustained activity rather than isolated evaluation. The program values not only realized performances, but also the clarification of methods, revision of assumptions, acquisition of practical knowledge, and formation of durable artistic relations.
